Our Purpose

Formal Governance Structure

CACHET is a registered Canadian not-for-profit organization. The following governance structure has been created to meet the goals of our organization and our members expressed needs and interests. 

Executive

Healthcare and business professionals who believe in creating and implementing evidence-based education for those who have committed to life-long learning, practice change and improving patient outcomes. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To further the purpose and mission of CACHET through the ethical and legal management of its affairs and activities. 
  • To provide direction, organization and implementation for our activities, in response to our members’ expressed needs and interests. 

Scientific Counsel

Specialists & primary care physicians who are recognized leaders in their field and who lend their expertise, insights and experience to create quality, relevant learning programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To provide expert knowledge, collaborative opportunities, and specific skill sets to enhance the scope and success of the organization. 
  • To identify the needs of the Members. 
  • To give strategic direction for the organization that will meet the needs of the Membership and facilitate practice change through research and education. 

Voting Members

Primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals (nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, technicians) in good standing with their professional college who have an interest in continuing professional development. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To guide our educational initiatives through completion of an annual survey, needs assessments and focused communications 
  • Potentially serving on a scientific planning committee for our CHE initiatives 

Members receive

  • Priority attendance for our events 
  • Regular updates on program initiatives and educational opportunities 
  • Access to educational resources and materials 
  • Access to blogs authored by our Scientific & CPD experts
  • Discounts on program registrations

Voting members will have the opportunity to vote at an annual general meeting as well as provide strategic direction to the organization.

Yearly Dues: $75

Non-Voting Members

Who is eligible to be a member?

Any Specialist, Family Physician, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist or other health professional in good standing with their College who is interested in continuing health education.
